"RxThat, the mobile platform that empowers patients and healthcare providers with accurate drug price comparisons between multiple pharmacies in real-time."
Brian Cunningham M.D., CEO RxThat
Ideated at MIT and founded by physicians and experts in pharmacy operations, RxThat is committed to giving patients true pricing transparency for their medications. For too long, we saw our patients struggle to afford their medications, often forgoing treatment due to cost. That's why we created RxThat.
We believe patients not only have the right to know the cost of medications before purchase, but they should have the ability to control their electronic prescriptions in real-time to find the best value for their families, their loved ones, and for themselves.
THE IMPACT OF HIGH
A 2018 study by CoverMyMeds found that approximately half of surveyed patients admitted to not filling a prescription due to cost. More than a third also responded that they had chosen not to refill a medication because of its price.
HIGHER MORBIDITY AND MORTALITY
Research indicates that as many as 125,000 deaths can be attributed annually to prescription abandonment as well as 10% of hospitalizations, costing the US healthcare system between $100 billion and $289 billion dollars every year.
At RxThat, we empower patients to find the best value for their prescription on their terms, using their insurance or not.
Our mobile app will be free to patients, accommodates commercially-insured, government-insured and cash-pay customers and requires no new technology investment by pharmacies and physicians as part of the adoption cycle.
RxThat allows patients to control when and where their electronic prescriptions are sent, giving them the ability to compare pharmacy pricing and lower prescription costs.
